SGA import Andre Roberson once again orchestrated the team’s offense, registering a double-double performance with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.
Alongside him, Tajuan Agee also dominated the paint, finishing with 12 points and 11 boards.
Back from the “Board of Greatness,” Kiefer Ravena made a strong tournament debut, contributing nine points, two assists, and two rebounds, providing an additional spark to SGA’s already well-oiled offense.
Strong Group established control early, finishing the first quarter with a double-digit lead, 24-13, thanks to their efficient ball movement and inside presence.
The Filipinos then tightened their grip in the second quarter, unleashing a 19-5 run to build a commanding 47-30 advantage at halftime.
Despite Australia’s attempts to chip away the lead in the second half, SGA’s balanced attack and solid rebounding kept them firmly in control.
Roberson and Agee continuously punished Australia inside, while Ravena’s timely baskets helped maintain the cushion.
Coach Charles Tiu praised his team’s offensive execution, noting the collective effort displayed in the win.
“Guys played well — another game where multiple guys in double-digits. Balanced scoring for us, which is what our team is about, getting everybody involved,” he said.
Aside from Roberson and Agee, three more players finished in double figures: Ian Miller with 12, Ange Kouame with 11, and Dave Ildefonso with 10.
The victory extended SGA’s winning streak to four games, placing them just behind the top-seeded Bahrain, which holds a 5-0 record.
Now at 4-0, Strong Group looks to continue their perfect run against Chinese Taipei–B on July 17.
